Hsinchu, November 15, 2023 – As the results of the 2023 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) are announced, Zyxel Group has once again achieved recognition, securing the "Sustainability Report - Electronics & Information Manufacturing Industry, Gold Award" and, for the first time, excelling in the "Sustainability Individual Performance - Information Security Leadership Award." This acknowledgment highlights Zyxel Group's exceptional commitment to ESG initiatives.

We have established a Sustainability Committee as the highest governing body to consistently chart the course for our sustainable transformation, ingraining innovation and sustainability into the group's DNA. Concurrently, we are broadening the group's influence, collaborating with suppliers and customers in endeavors toward global sustainability, enhancing business resilience, and collectively progressing toward a net-zero vision." noted Zyxel Group's Sustainability Director Denise Lin. 

In recent years, the Zyxel Group has actively responded to international net-zero initiatives by joining the international SBTi, conducting greenhouse gas inventories, and outlining a net-zero transformation plan by 2050. Employing systematic and scientific approaches, the company is advancing toward a low-carbon transition. Additionally, Zyxel Group has embraced TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), incorporating scenario analysis of climate change and its financial impacts into operational planning and risk management, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable action. 

Amidst the escalating threats in cybersecurity, the Zyxel Group has proactively obtained the international ISO 27001 Information Security certification, focusing on three main aspects: (1) establishing the cross-departmental "Information Security Management Committee," headed by the CEO and appointing a dedicated Chief Information Security Officer to oversee policy implementation and resource allocation, highlighting senior management's emphasis on security; (2) mandating employees to complete mandatory cybersecurity courses and conducting periodic email social engineering drills to enhance staff awareness and vigilance; (3) implementing cybersecurity management and evaluation for suppliers, elevating the overall supply chain's security resilience. 

To enhance product information security, the Zyxel Group established the "PSIRT (Product Security Incident Response Team) Product Security Incident Response Committee," which continuously monitors potential internal and external threats. It has also received certifications in cybersecurity such as the BSI TR-03148 from the German Federal Office for Information Security and CMMC 2.0 from the U.S. Department of Defense, offering customers diverse and robust security solutions. 

Low-carbon transformation and digital technology are inseparable.
